During winter months the gazebo is covered in snow and lights, and the ice festival takes place featuring incredible ice carvings around the square.  Also featured is Santa’s arrival and a Christmas Parade.  Perfect for a half day or full day excursion, you will find ample street parking and a town easily accessible by sidewalks and made for walking.  Don’t miss the great golf courses, the oldest amusement park in the United States Idlewild Park, and Ligonier Beach!  Or enjoy a wonderful meal at the Colonial Inn Restaurant!

FORT LIGONIER
Located nearby in Ligonier, PA, Fort Ligonier is the finest fort of its type in North America, consisting of a full-scale reconstruction fort, and presenting living history activities that include reenactments, battles, encampments and folk crafts. Includes a modern museum and 5 indoor exhibition galleries that provide a portal to the eighteenth century fort.

FORT LIGONIER DAYS 
A 3 day festival commemorating the Battle of Fort Ligonier fought in 1758.  Festival features a living history encampment showcasing frontier life, cannon firing, drills, military tactics, French troops, frontier men and women, Indians and music from 1758 plus re-enactment of the battle of Fort Ligonier.

LIGONIER BEACH
With over 1.3 million gallons of water and a 400 by 125 foot long beach, Ligonier Beach is the largest swimming pool in Pennsylvania and a lot of fun!.  This fun historic landmark has been running for 79 years!   Memorial Day through Labor Day 7am – 7 pm.  Live entertainment every Sunday from 2 – 6 pm. This is fun and unique swimming pool!

LIGONIER COUNTRY MARKET 
Memorial Day through September 26.
A wonderful fresh farm market featuring fresh produce and local products including candles, quilts and jewelry. Open every Saturday from 7:00AM until noon.  

LIGONIER ICE FEST  
Blocks of ice are sculpted into amazing images representative of businesses and clubs through the Ligonier Valley. Kettle corn and music is also provided. 

LINN RUN STATE PARK 
Located on the drive to Ligonier, Linn Run is a gorgeous location to view the Mountain Laurel in summer lining the creek banks.  Enjoy fishing in fast running streams and hiking.  Picnic tables and parking scattered throughout the park.
